Oak sapwood and heartwood are slightly distinguished, with gray yellow white sapwood and varying shades of heartwood, ranging from yellow brown to slightly red to reddish brown. The texture is straight and sometimes has diagonal lines, with a coarse structure and beautiful patterns.
Oak wood has high mechanical strength, wear resistance, and an air dry density of 0.66~0.77g/cm3. Not easy to dry, prone to cracking and warping when dry. Wood is difficult to sawn and cut, making it easy to drill holes. Oak is easy to slice to obtain a smooth surface, but wet materials are prone to fuzzing. Wood has a strong grip on screws, but it is not easy to nail in, and has good painting and coloring properties.
White oak material is harder, more resilient, and has higher bending strength than ordinary wood. When subjected to stress and bending, the wood is not easily damaged; At the same time, the white oak tube hole contains a large amount of infiltrating material, which not only has good corrosion resistance but also good impermeability.
